The Air France Foundation has decided to devote some of its efforts to benefit initiatives in France, where illness, disability, exclusion and poverty impact children and adolescents just as they do elsewhere. Like all children everywhere, they need support and guidance to flourish as children.
In France, the Foundation therefore sponsors access to studies, leisure activities and culture.
Every year, it chooses a region. It began by financing projects in Lyon. Next, it targeted the regions of Lille, Bordeaux, Marseille, Toulouse, Strasbourg, Nantes, Clermont-Ferrand and the French Overseas Departments (Guadeloupe, Martinique and Guyana) but also the job catchment area around Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. Others will follow. In the French regions, it is the Company's employees who, in the framework of a selection committee, choose the projects to be financed by the Foundation.
