The 2017 Air France Foundation Prize - celebrating the spirit of solidarity
Every 2 years, the Air France Foundation rewards associations working to provide access to education for children who are sick, disabled or in great difficulty.
The ceremony took place at the Musée des Arts Forains in Paris on Tuesday 12th December.
The association L'ENVOL working with European children has won the 2017 Air France Foundation Prize for its actions in favour of children. For the past 20 years, L'ENVOL has been organizing free recreational and sports stays for gravely ill children and their families.
The Air France Foundation, which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary, selects and funds projects in favour of children who are sick, disabled or in great difficulty in countries where Air France is present.
The Air France Foundation has assisted 1,338 projects, mostly sponsored by the company's employees. Among these, 998 were for children in difficulty and 340 for sick or disabled children.
It is now one of the largest French corporate foundations, both for its financial support and for the number of projects to which it contributes. It also benefits from the existence of a vast network of company staff, who do all they can to help and take part in the actions it organizes and supports.
